First-time Racers
- A first-time racer is defined as someone who has never officially FINISHED a Mount Marathon Race. Completing the course in training does NOT constitute a finish. Completing a race beyond the cutoff time (for an Unofficial Finish) does NOT constitute a finish.
- First-time racer bibs can only be picked up after they attend the mandatory Safety Meeting that starts at 6:45 p.m. on July 3. Photo ID is required.
Junior racers – parents/guardian must accompany
- All juniors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at bib pickup. Photo ID is required.
- If the junior is a first-time racer, they must also be accompanied by a parent at the mandatory safety meeting.
- If a schedule conflict means the junior needs to be accompanied by an adult other than their parent/guardian, the parent must email director@mountmarathon.com for permission and to receive a waiver that they sign.
Returning Racers’ Pickup Times and Locations
- Returning racers may pick up their bib on July 3 from 4–6 p.m. at AVTEC Gymnasium. Photo ID is required.
- Returning racers may ALSO pick up their bib on July 4 beginning at 8 a.m. at race headquarters located at Flamingo Lounge parking lot, 208 Fourth Ave. (First-timers may not get their bibs then). Photo ID is required.
- Returning racer bib pickup closes 30 minutes prior to each race start.
Bib Wearing instructions
- The ideal placement for bibs is across the torso of a runners’ outer-most layer so they can best be seen by race officials and timers.
- For racers who run shirtless, the bib can be attached to the front of their shorts or leg layer and must be centered for visibility.
- Each bib has an electronic timing strip attached on the back; if folding the bib, take care to not damage the timing strip.
- Bibs must be worn for the duration of the race. If your bib is torn off, carry it across the finish line and show it race officials.
- Bibs may NOT be attached to the back of a runners’ shirt or on a running pack.
