2025 registration for priority entrants and lottery hopefuls will be March 1-31.
Registration buttons will be posted on the Home Page.
Basically, here’s how registration works: you either have Priority Registration status — or you do not.
If you have priority registration, simply register between March 1-31, pay your entry fee ($100 for adults, $50 for juniors), and you’re all set.
How do I know if I have priority status? Read this link HERE
- If you DO NOT have priority, you may enter the registration lottery between March 1-31, 2025 for a fee of $20 for adults or $15 for juniors.
- If you win the lottery, your credit card will automatically be charged the remaining balance ($80 for adults, $35 for juniors).
- If you lose the lottery, you are encouraged to try again in 2026.
- For more about the lottery process, read this link HERE
- There are also several possibilities for getting a one-year bib: see drop-down topics in the ENTRY section for the auction/raffle, petition and earning a race spot.
Adult Race Selection
The adult races are for ages 18 and up. The 375 women entrants and 375 men entrants are filled in the following order:
- Applicants with Priority Registration status who register and pay between March 1-31, 2025.
- Lottery winners using a random lottery selection process.
- One-time Earned Race Spot (winners of AMR Grand Prix races and Top 10 overall at Mount Marathon in the men’s, women’s and non-binary races the previous year)
- Approved One-Time Petition Race Spots (based on merit or unique circumstances)
- Auction winners (10 men and 10 women) and raffle winner (1 total)
- Sponsor spots (1 entry for each $5,000 CASH sponsorship)
- Committee’s Choice (each Race Committee member may choose to fill one spot at their discretion)
NOTE: Earned Race, Petition, Auction, Raffle, Sponsor and Committee’s Choice entries are IN ADDITION to the original 375 entries and DO NOT count against that capacity.
Junior Race Selection
Junior racers must be at least 9 years old on race day to participate. The 150 boys entrants and 150 girls entrants are filled in the following order:
- Applicants with Priority Registration status who register and pay between March 1-31, 2025 (juniors with priority who finish within 1 hour, 30 minutes qualify for the following year).
- Lottery winners using a random weighted lottery selection process. (NOTE: All junior lottery entrants from Seward and Moose Pass are automatic lottery winners by rule of the MMRC).
- Approved One-Time Petition Race Spots.
- Sponsor spots (1 entry for each $5,000 CASH sponsorship)
- Committee’s Choice (each Race Committee member may choose to fill one spot at their discretion)
NOTE: There is NO WAIT LIST for those who hope to gain entry after the roster is published.
There are NO TRANSFERS of bibs to another runner from someone on the roster who cannot attend.
There are NO REFUNDS and NO DEFERRALS for those on the roster unable to attend.
The deferral request is no longer an option beginning in 2024 (except for pregnancies). Those looking to retain their spot should see if they are eligible to use the one-time Skip-a-Year option.
