Presented by Hilcorp, the 2026 races will be livestreamed on YouTube for the 5th straight year by Tudor Road Studios!
The 2026 expanded has a crew of 17. The face of the broadcast will be announcers Nina Kemppel (a 9-time Mount Marathon champion) and Dave Goldman at the finish line with Andrew Kastning reporting from the mountain course, while the broadcast also includes directors, camera operators (in town and on the mountain), drone operators, engineers, an audio expert and more. A total of 19 cameras will feature the event from many perspectives.
In addition to live broadcast of the races, beginning at 9 a.m. a separate “Finish Cam” will show all racers as they cross the finish line for those who just wanted to watch people they know finish regardless of place.
There were two other exciting developments involving the Livestream that launched in 2025 and will be continued this year:

  • A JUMBOTRON – a huge video screen measuring 23 feet wide by 13 feet tall will broadcast the Livestream all day from near the finish line. The screen was trailered to Seward and set up by Creative Lighting & Sound of Anchorage.
New for 2026: a second Jumbotron/video wall, measuring 8X14 feet, will broadcast the Livestream at the base of the mountain.
  • Alaska’s News Source KTUU Ch. 2 in Anchorage is airing the Livestream men’s race (starting at 11 a.m.) and women’s race (starting at 2 p.m.) on July 4, making it possible to watch on local TV for those who prefer that to YouTube. It will be broadcast on channel 2.2

Hilcorp remains the Livestream Presenting Sponsor.
